How this Ikariam blog works
This is an archive pretty much all of the advice I hand out to the training alliances I join in all of the worlds - currently stationed in Delta, and that's it.
[Town Advice] - help on how to operate your town. I try to give you good ideas and ways to help run a more efficient city state!
[Diplomacy Advice] - diplomacy is the name of the game in this game! If you can talk well, you won't have alot of problems!
[Espionage Advice] - help on Spying, so that you can reap the benefits of inside eyes!
[Basics Advice] - try to get some basic concepts through your head so that you can excel in goal making in general!
[Military Advice] - fighting battles is definitely part of Ikariam, and war, pillaging, and piracy is a MAJOR part of the game that you need to know!
[Economics Advice] - this has to do with any economic ideas that could help better YOUR economy!

Circular Message Questions and Answers

should i destroy my embassy
You should try to keep one
with an embassy, you can get enough diplomacy points to sign garrison rights treaties and trade treaties, both can become quite important to the game.
heyy, i have can get a new town, i have a sulf and marble. should i get a wine or crystal glass colony?
Go for wine over crystal
which raises happiness levels in towns more, tavern upgrades or musuem upgrades?
Normally, for ever 3 tavern levels, I try to have a museum level. Then I fill the CT, and fill the Tavern. That's a pretty good balance, and relieves a lot of pressure on your wine producing town.
heyy evrey one. iv had my eye on this level 11 tow but he has a level 10 wall i cant break. i dont have catapults yet so aproximatly how many rams would it tak to take don that wal? thanks
Get catapults. You may want to bring three rams with you, but try to get 5 to ten catapults.
If you can't get catapults for awhile, put in 18 to 12 rams, it may be a lost battle though.

Use spearmen also, don't build hoplites for the operation. This is because walls give 1 hit kills to hoplites when they are at level 10 or above. You don't want to waste hoplites, and the spearmen will last as long as the hoplites will against the wall. The rams will not run out of ammunition when you bring down the wall, while the catapults pack the punch.
each wall section will kill 1 troop per round. That means...
Round 1 - 7 kills
Round 2 - 6-5 kills (if you managed to destroy two in this round)
Round 3 - 5-4 kills
Round 4 - 4-3 kills
Round 5 - 3-2 kills
Round 6 -2-1 kills
Round 7 1 - 0 kills
Round 8 probably will win
A max of 28 kills. That is based on a fight I had against a level 14 wall, so it may come quicker and easier for you, but I used catapults and rams proportionate to the wall, so you may go through the same thing. Try to bring in a cook or so too.
Are there any troops defending the town? If so, do you know how many? If you don't, I have another trick

Hitpoints: 600
damage: 80 (accuracy has no effect on misses whatsoever, learned this the hard way)
Ram
damage: 76
That means that you can do only 39 damage per round with a ram.
600/39 = 16
You would need 16 rams to be able to tackle that wall with a decent chance of winning
